"She offered lots of insight and actually listened to my concerns and thoughts. All my current and new prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy of choice and I will be picking them up tonight. Highly recommend this service."

FAQs

Is Golden Apple MD and Nutrition a regular medical practice?

We are a family-run health and wellness telehealth clinic that provides evidence-based and integrative medical and nutritional services with a focus on straightforward, honest and unbiased information within a fair and transparent payment structure.

How do I set up an online appointment?

Depending on your need and location (our services are only offered in certain states), you can set up an appointment on our Book an Appointment page.

What is integrative medicine?

To us, integrative health combines conventional medicine with complementary therapies like nutrition and supplementation to treat the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. It focuses on prevention, patient needs, and a therapeutic relationship to promote optimal health and wellness with a holistic and personalized approach.

Are you a primary care or OB/GYN medical practice?

Not specifically, though there is some overlap in our service offerings. In fact, we’d be happy to work alongside your primary care or OB/GYN provider if you’d prefer. Rather, as medical and nutritional health specialists, we work with you to identify any ongoing deficiencies, complex diagnoses or underlying issues, then devise a path forward with the goal of helping you along a journey of healing and wellness. That said, you will probably want to continue with your primary care doctor or specialist.

Do you accept insurance?

To provide the best service we know how, Golden Apple MD and Nutrition does not accept any medical insurance programs. However, patients can seek reimbursement if they have out-of-network benefits. We are a fee-for-service practice and do not contract with insurance companies. Patients are responsible for full payment at the time of service and can use FSA and HSA funds, if applicable. We can provide a coded claim form to patients seeking insurance reimbursement or for tax purposes.

Can you prescribe medication and order tests?

Yes, and yes! In fact, commercial insurances cover the majority of our recommended lab or imaging tests. If patients have a high-deductible insurance plan, we can sometimes provide more affordable lab options that our patients can prepay for outside of their insurance program..

Do you take male patients? How about kids?

While it’s true that our services focus on women’s health, we’re happy to take on male patients, especially for nutritional counseling. At this time, we are not serving patients under the age of 18. However, Dr. deBrier does have the ability to provide telehealth services for juvenile patients at another practice (request more info).
